Yes – this is far safer than lifting with no transferring equipment at all.
Every special assistance provider today has reported the easyTravelseat is simple, effective, quick and makes their lives so much easier.
No – not at this moment in time.
Our smallest size (although not specifically designed for a child) may be suitable. The measurements for our small easyTravelseat will cater for a cushion up to 15″ in width and length, with back support length up to 21″. If your child’s wheelchair cushion falls under 15″, please contact us and we will gladly advise further.
No – not at this moment time. However, for some users, the length of support/height of the back is sufficient to provide head support during the transfer.
First, assess whether your wheelchair leg and/or armrests can be adjusted in height to counter for the height increase, so the necessary adjustments can be made get you comfortable.
If you cannot adjust your wheelchair, there are various ways around it:
The easyTravelseat comes in 4 sizes:
Small
Medium
Large
X-Large
You should measure your wheelchair cushion, as a guide to determine the best-sized easyTravelseat for you.
For example, if your wheelchair cushion measures:
16.5″ width
17.0″ length
We would advise selecting a ‘Large’ with a 16.5 cushion. With regards to the thickness – this depends on individual preference and what adjustments (if any) you need to make to your wheelchair to counter for the height increase.

Yes – however it is limited in terms of thickness and height. It allows up to 21″ in length and 2.5″ thick. We do not provide back support cushions but there is space for a form of support to be placed inside.
Yes, if your wheelchair cushion is less than 2.5″ thick, falls within the width and length measurements of the easyTravelseat size you have selected, and has a soft base (so the cushion is flexible).
Please note – if you wheelchair cushion has a firm base (not flexible) and fits the easyTravelseat. We advise you to check with the airline what the aisle width of the aircraft is in which you are travelling on prior to travel. Because if the aisle width is only 17″ wide and your cushion is 18″ wide with a firm base, you will not be able to go down through the aisle on the aisle chair.
We have to make sure the easyTravelseat is not impeding on another passengers seat, whilst making sure you are able to fit through the aisle on the aisle chair. And in order to provide a seat that would accommodate almost any aircraft seats and the aisle width, 18″ was deemed the maximum size for a workable seating solution for the Pro version.
Absolutely yes – we believe the easyTravelseat can be used for activities such as getting into a beach wheelchair buggy, getting onto a pool hoist with or without the use of a hoist, to experience a car day, helping get onto a boat, accessing a hot air-ballon, helicopter and so much more. We can’t wait to see what people get up to with it.
